- Always add chemicals to water, never water to chemicals.
- Add chemicals one at a time, allowing each to circulate before adding the next.
- Run the pool pump while adding chemicals to ensure proper distribution.
- Wait at least 4-6 hours between adding different chemicals.
- Retest the water after each chemical addition and adjustment.

- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and safety goggles.
- Keep all pool chemicals out of reach of children and pets.
- Never mix different pool chemicals together, as this can create dangerous reactions.
- Follow all manufacturer's instructions and safety guidelines for each chemical product.
